>The monarch is considered a (humanised) symbol of the country's government (although it is believed that the monarch has absolute power of government, this is not the case). ) In fact, his image is mostly symbolic, therefore it is separate from the real government. Since, in the event of a change of government. It will not affect the stability of the country.
>The monarch, however, may be a possible final control, in the case that the current government takes a dictatorial stance. Also the monarch may not give his royal assent to a bill, proposed and passed by Parliament.
>Finally, the Monarch is a symbolic and representative figure of the country, (Queen Elizabeth II) she must fulfill the ceremonial duties that heads of state often spend their time. The government then has more time to run the country.

The British monarchy as an institution has not been a major concern of British politics for several hundred years, just as there is hardly any public debate about the existence of the monarchy itself.

However, there is much debate about what kind of monarchy Britain should have. Because since the reign of Queen Victoria, the public has looked to the royal family as a model of Christian family life. But that image of the "model family" changed over time, due to the various marriage scandals of the crown. And one of the mistakes that almost left the Queen with a bad image for her people was in 1992, when a fire damaged Windsor Castle, (one of the Queen's favourite houses), but, the mistake was when the government announced that public money was going to pay for the repairs, sympathy quickly turned into anger.

The Queen is greatly admired, respected. But she put that sympathy at risk, so The Queen, aware of the public opinion of her people, forced her to decide that she would start paying taxes on her private income, and some members of the royal family were removed from the Civil List. In addition, to make parts of the public places to encourage tourism.

Well, the British royal family and the events and buildings associated with the monarchy help the tourism industry, or exactly how much money they help bring into the country, but most people who work in tourism think it's a lot.

>In 1936, Edward VIII, the uncle of the current queen, was forced to give up the throne, because he wanted to marry a woman who had divorced two husbands. She was not an aristocrat, because she was an American. The government and the church insisted that Edward should not marry her, and remain king. Still, he chose to marry her. The couple went to live abroad.

>Lady Di and Prince Charles' divorce: They were married in 1981, their marriage was a nightmare for her. However, in the years of their marriage Lady Di won the love of the people (the people loved her more than their own Queen) and they had two children together. And in 1992 ,they finally divorced. Lady Di's image was fresher and the people still loved her. But it had a sad end, when in 1997 she suffered a tragic accident where she died.
