Two-Bit and Ponyboy were walking down the street to Tasty Freeze to by cokes, when the blue mustang pulled up and inside were Randy and the others of the soc gang. Randy who was Bob's best friend, called over Ponyboy to talk to him. Randy said that Bob was looking for a fight that night and understood that Johnny stabbed him out of self-defense, but they all missed him and wished he was still alive. They were going for a drive before seeing Dally and Johnny in the hospital, but soon then, they saw a blue mustang. Randy, came out of the mustang. He was Bob's friend. He wanted to talk with Ponyboy. He told Ponyboy how Bob was looking for a fight the knight he got killed because he was drunk. Randy said that he knew what Johnny did was self-defense and that he only killed Bob to save Ponyboy from drowning. Randy said he no longer wants to fight because more people would end up getting injured or killed.
