Without media our lives would not be the same. Personally, I use media every day to find useful information.

The most important form of media for me is the Internet. Because of the Internet, you can quickly and conveniently find any information. The Internet is used by almost all people and everyone can put information on the Internet. And so the Internet is stored a lot of information.

One should, however, not forget that the information may be different. Many adults use the internet to work, to chat with their friends, relatives, and relax. For teenagers it is also the way to chat with their friends, to play games, to watch interesting funny videos and to do the homework. As for me I am interested in educational information. 

It is often said that teenagers spend much time with mass media, but I prefer walking with my friends, visiting museums and theatres. That’s why I spend about 2 hours a day. 

Although people spend much time with mass media it has bad influence on them. Sometimes it shows much violence, rudeness, distortion of reality.

Many people think that our generation spends too much time surfing the internet and watching TV shows, but we don’t agree. Let’s consider some pros and cons of it. Firstly, nowadays we cope with much more information than our parents used to, for example we search information for our homework in the internet. Secondly, all our friends use social networks, it’s a fashionable trend, we don’t want to be old-fashioned. Finally, we like to know all that happens in the world.  

Some experts say that teenagers are addicted to social networks and different sites, on the one hand we agree that not all information is useful for us, but on the other hand, if you weed out the good from the bad, there will be no problems.

After writing our media diary for couple of days we can conclude that we use the Internet more often than other types of media, 5-6 hours a day.  When we realized it, we were in shock. After this experience we had a conversation, that we waste too much time on something meaningless. We are going to shorten our online time. 

So, it’s up to you to use media or not, but frankly speaking, we find it hard not to do it in the 21st century.

For me an important source of information is the Internet for the same reason. On the one hand, I'm interested in events happening in the world. On the other hand, I use it for doing my homework. Besides, I communicate with my friends in the social nets. Frankly speaking, I spend about 4 hours every day on the Internet. Nevertheless, one should accept that since the Internet appeared people began to read fewer books and communicate in a living. Of course, I use a TV set mainly for entertainment, and also I get a lot of information from it. From time to time I read various books. If I add up all the time that I spend on mass media per day, it will turn out about half of the day. Thus, we can say that nearly 1/2 part of the whole day we spend on getting some information with the help of the mass media.

In conclusion, I’d like to say that there are some disadvantages of having such kind of mass media like the internet, because people are stopping communicating with each other in real life.

To begin with, the internet is the  main mass media for me. I spend a lot of time on the internet-3 hours a day. Two hours a day I spend reading books. Besides, I interact with television about two hours a day.

It is a well-known fact that we live in a world in which the internet is very popular with teenagers of our class.  It yas become an integral part of my life. I think, that the Internet is not only the assistant in daily work, it is also the other world in which there are mailboxes, libraries, photo galleries, games, shops. By means of the Internet I can travel to different cities, visit tourist places, communicate with my friends and relatives.  The internet allows me to spend less time and money.

First and foremost I (my team) use media doing our homework, listening to music, relaxing,  watching the films and reading comics and novels. Besides, I and my team are interested in the daily life of our friends.

One must admit that mass media are one of the most characteristic features of modern civilization. People can learn about what is happening in the world very fast using mass media (television, newspapers, internet). We can communicate cheaply over the Internet with the rest of the world. When we send e-mail messages, we only have to pay for phone calls to our local service providers, not for international calls around the world, when I pay a good deal of money. People can communicate with their friends and relatives who live far away using e-mail and social networks.

From these facts, one may conclude that the mass media play the fundamental role in our life.  The life of many people has changed with the advent of modern mass media.

It is generally agreed today that mass media plays an important role in our life and I am no exception.

I think that the Internet is the most important among other kinds of mass media for me. It’s the easiest and the quickest way of getting information nowadays. And I always have this source of the information at hand in my phone. I often read news, communicate with my friends, do my homework, listen to music and even watch my favourite TV programmes on the Internet. I am interested in news about my famous actors, music news and search a lot of different information for school.

Usually I spend 2-3 hours a day on the Internet.

Our parents used to write letters or to make phone calls when they were young. Sometimes it was too difficult.

Of course the Internet is the greatest invention of the humanity. It has changed the world and the way we share the information. It makes people closer to each other. Distance is not an obstacle any more. But anyway it can’t replace live communication.

Nowadays the Mass Media plays a great role in the modern life. How does it influence  our society? Now in my essay intend to consider and discuss this issue. 

As for me, I also use the service of the mass media. There are a few reasons for it. First of all, it should be mentioned that the mass media consists of television, the Internet, radio,  newspapers and magazines. 

Mass media are those channels of communication which can expose large numbers of people to the same information at the same time. It needs to be said that the Internet is the most popular kind of the mass media.I surf the Internet every day. It helps me to chat with my friends and to keep in touch with my relatives. Besides, I use the information from the Internet for studying. In addition, thanks to this kind of mass media I have a perfect opportunity for development, watching different films, reading interesting books and so on. As a rule, I spend about four hours daily on the Internet. 

In conclusion, I would like to say that due to the mass media we can find any information we need. 

     As for me, I prefer TV and the internet. Sensational events, natural disasters and unusual incidents are always very interesting. I often  watch news on TV and in the Internet and find out a lot of interesting and unusual things. I am usually skeptical about strange information and always try to find the evidence of new information. As for my grandmother, she believes in every sort of information and if the information scares her, she immediately calls to warn me to be more careful and vigilant.

      I am also interested in educational information to do my homework. Now we use internet resources to do some tasks of our project. As a rule, I spend 5 hours a day watching TV or searching for information on the Internet. I often communicate with my friends and relatives using social networks. 

      In conclusion, I can say that the Internet is a widespread source of information but we always need to take new information critically.

With the help of the mass media I can learn the news of my city, find the information about what I do not know, just listen to some program to relax. But sometimes because of these media there is not enough time for important things to do or just chat with my friends in a rare care vision deteriorates and most importantly some information is unreliable. Therefore many people think that mass media is necessary in their life but others do not agree.

 Let’s us consider what are the advantages and disadvantages of the media. Firstly the mass media provides an opportunity to learn what is happening in the world; secondly you can relax or distract yourself from boredom by means of different TV programs which are provided by the mass media and family you can get new knowledge through cognitive channels. But it cannot be denied and the shortcomings of the media. First of all some information is unreasonable and it is impossible to understand whether this is true. The second reason is that some people become addicted and use these medium constantly and continuously. And so for the great majority of people the media is a lie.

I great  the mass media positively because with their help I learn a lot of new things  so sometimes  I stress through different TV shows and even adhere to modern fashion.
