In first day I need to introduce myself with other then I have brought to visit around the office with the other staff. Hotel Grand Continental Kuala Terengganu have 13 levels.

After that, I was assigned under housekeeping department for 1 months half and after this I will go to department food and beverage (f&b). For the first day of being in the housekeeping department was very busy because have a lot of guests came out on this day. The most challenging thing is when cleaning a very large vvip room and besides there are some dirty rooms that will take a long time to clean.

But finally we all can finish all the housekeeping around 4.30 p.m. with the help of housekeeping department.

The supervisor give the list of room to us. Then I need to follow the staff to do housekeeping work. The staff ask me to knock the door three times while mentioned housekeeping and wait a minutes until the guest open the door. If the guest no open the door that mean they don't want to be disturbed. For the first time I really nervous to knock the door but the staff encourage me that normal to feel nervous.

The staff teach me how  to clean or freshen guest rooms while guests are out or while a room is between guests. Each morning, we stocks up hospitality carts with towels, fresh linens, cleaning supplies and toiletries, and housekeepers set out to their assigned floors.

Before that, we need knock on the door of each occupied guest room and enter only when the guests are out. Once inside, they make beds and supply fresh towels. Housekeepers also replace any used toiletries, wipe surfaces clean, and vacuum or mop floors to ensure guests return to a clean room. We should empties trash cans and removes any rubbish from the room.

For steamboat we will provide special service like we poured water for them into the glass provided, lit a stove fire to eat the steamboat and put the ingredients into it. After the guest finish eat we all need to clear that steamboat.

This morning we have 3 group function  and around 150 guest need to serve. But this time really challenging because this group function bring family and we need to add stuff like spoon,fork, cup tea and dishes. 

After that we clear breakfast buffet and get ready to setting buffet for lunch. For the lunch we need to serve 75 guest from group function me and the staff really run out of energy because from breakfast until lunch don't stop work.
