Mackenzie
The author's claim for this article is that later school start times are much better then earlier school start times because teens can get more sleep. So they can pay more attention in class and not have such a mood. I think the author's purpose of writing this is to persuaded us into thinking that school start times should be later because she is giving us information about why it's better to have a later start time. The author's does have a bias when she said that with not enough sleep could lead to health risks. So... the author's bias is that school start times should be later.

Why Are Parents Afraid Of Later School Start Times? (Huffington Post) Morgan

To me, this article does pass the C.R.A.P. test. I would say that the authors claim is, that it would help students from falling asleep in class... like she did in high school, but than she is also against it in some ways. The author's purpose in writing this article was to tell kids, and parents why parents are totally against later school start times, and why this has been such a debate. She had even included that in the articles title: "Parents Are Afraid Of Later School Start Times". So I would definitely say that the author's purpose was to persuade the reader into thinking that it is bad. I would definitely say that the author had a bias approach because she mostly writes cons of schools starting later, from after school activities to just eating dinner. I am also kind of getting the sense that the author is a parent because of all of bias to the school starting later, because the parents are definitely getting a much different schedule than they used to.
