Find a connection to one of the marginalized groups we talked about earlier this semester and provide some specific parallels between the two groups.

1. In the video it talks about the Boarding Schools that Native Americans would have to go to, which is a lot like the segregation Black and White children. Both Native American children and Black Children had to go to a different school than white children. While these are not exactly the same separating children because of their heritage is very wrong, but was still funded by the government.  

Include your opinion on the question posed in the title of the first video - Can the US make amends?  Why is it important -Please reference concepts, terms and ideas we have learned about in class in your answers

1. The U.S. can never fully wash away the damage these boarding schools did to Native Americans. These boarding Schools are the reason there is so little knowledge of traditions. I think the best option for the U.S. to do is provide a better system to educate kids about the atrocities Native Americans went through. I know my education about Native Americans was very limited.

Define the land back movement

1. It is the restoration of Native American Tribes. 

Provide a simple summary of the problem

1. White colonizer kicked Native Americans out of their land to make room for themselves. Native Americans were then relocated to different place they were unfamiliar with. National Parks were taken away from the Indigenous People putting the US government in charge of it. 

What are 2 things being done as a part of this movement

1. Giving back land of National Parks to the Indigenous people
2. Having congress and other forms of US government give back land to Native Americans

How is this movement connected to climate change and do you think this is an answer the world should be considering?

1.  I think it is a great movement for the environment. Native Americans are known to be very caring and giving to Mother Nature. Giving back the land to Natives will help improve the way our National Parks are handled. This also would help people become more educated with pollution and how to protect our environment.

Give an overview of the Native Knowledge 360 program

1. The website gives a overview of the History of Natives around the world, and also provides correct ways to respond to the Culture. It allows people to learn and not be ignorant of the history and what Natives deal with today. It is a great resource for teacher and educators to use to teach students about the history of Natives. 

Select one of the education lessons and give us a brief summary of the lesson

1. I chose the Lesson Native Words, Native Warriors. This lessons focus on the Native Americans that were in WWI WWII and what they did. Many Native Americans were used as "code talkers" due to their language, and help the US send messages. Without the Native American language some of the codes would not exist.

Connect this lesson to one of the concepts we have learned about this semester that focuses on anti racism - explain your connection to the concept

1. Using the Language of Native Americans allowed for something vital to exist in WWI WWII. Taking a step back from the prejudice that Native Americans faced, the government was actually able to make great use of Language that was used by many people.

Describe how this lesson and others like it could impact student education - provide specific examples from this lesson and concepts covered this semester

1. Learning about things like this will help students have a better understanding on who Native Americans are. Most people think they were just people that were here when colonizer arrived, and would trade with the white people. I never knew about a lot of the removal acts and boarding school till taking APUSH and College. Showing kids that Native Americans are more than a group of people who traded with white people, will allow to spread culture appreciation. The lesson above just shows how important Native Americans are to the United States history.
