         <title>The Trojan War</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Reason for the War: the war began after the abduction (or elopement) of Queen Helen of Sparta by the Trojan prince Paris.<br>Major Parties Involved:the early Greeks and the people of Troy&nbsp;<br>The Trojan Horse Explained:The tale describes how Greek soldiers were able to take the city of Troy after a fruitless ten-year siege by hiding in the Trojan Horse, a giant wooden horse supposedly left as an offering to the goddess Athena.<br>Outcome of the War: The Greeks pretended to sail away, and the Trojans pulled the horse into their city as a victory trophy. That night, the Greek force crept out of the horse and opened the gates for the rest of the Greek army, which had sailed back under the cover of darkness.
