The person may struggle to adapt to the new country's new language, customs, and way of life. (Maclachlan, 2015)<br>In other words, it is the process of "adopting some of the cultural traits or social patterns of another group or culture and becoming more integrated into that group." (Maclachlan, 2015)<br>According to the article "This phenomenon is usually related to the minority group or newcomer adopting the values and beliefs of the dominant or host culture. "* (Maclachlan, 2015)<br><br><strong>Example</strong> - A person from India may move to the United States. This person may then adopt some American beliefs, traditions, and customs and begin dressing differently, celebrating more holidays, and socialize in a more American way. At the same time, this person still practices their Indian culture.</div>]]></description>
