https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sn19xvfoXvk

I heard this song, by mistake actually, and I was curious about the lycris behind it. Normally I don't listen to comercial music at all, but it was an exception.
I found out that it was written based on the story of Harriet Tubman, who was an escaped enslaved woman who became a “conductor” on the Underground Railroad, leading enslaved people to freedom before the Civil War. She suffered of narcolepsy all her life. On September 17, 1849, Harriet, Ben and Henry, her brothers escaped their Maryland plantation. They eventually returned, but Harriet traveled 90 miles north to Pennsylvania and to freedom. Harriet found work as a housekeeper in Philadelphia, but she wasn’t satisfied living free on her own, she wanted freedom for her loved ones and friends, too.
Over the next ten years, Harriet befriended other abolitionists such as Frederick Douglass, Thomas Garrett and Martha Coffin Wright, and established her own Underground Railroad network.
Nevertheless, it’s believed Harriet personally led at least 70 enslaved people to freedom, including her elderly parents, and instructed dozens of others on how to escape on their own. She claimed, “I never ran my train off the track and I never lost a passenger.”

I would say that is pretty heroic. :)
