Arabic Essay
I am Aniyah Dixon-Jackson, a student at Upper Darby High School in Drexel Hill. I am writing this letter with some concerns about why we should have to study Arabic in our school. Not only will learning Arabic get you ahead in a government career, but it will also give you a leg up in finance, engineering, medical, non-profit and international relations in any sector. Learning Arabic will help you develop valuable business ties with business people. The demand in the U.S. for Arab speakers currently much exceeds availability. Learning Arabic would quickly make you stand out from other work applicants if you're a college student. Arabic is a combination of these things. In the Middle East, there are 20 countries where the national language is Arabic. It offers you chances to travel and work in other countries, but it is also specific that your colleagues do not talk widely. Islam is the world's second largest faith, and the Islamic world's first largest religion. To many Arabs, Islam is not only a faith, but also a lifestyle. Not only can you learn a vocabulary while learning Arabic, but you also gain insight into Islamic values and practices.
