Where boys are forced to dig Holes all day. The camp is there so the bad kids can build character but they don't. But really it hides a dark secret related to a curse on Stanley’s family. Stanley thinks the camp is kind of wrong So he tries to find out the real meaning behind the camp. It is

kind of related to his family history. And a mysterious past of a girl Kate- kissin Barlow. There is a lot of drama there and Stanley's friend Zero Runs away so Stanley Tries to steal a truck To find Zero And He finds Zero And Survive in the desert for like 2 Weeks. Then Stanley and Zero find treasure. Then They almost died from yellow spotted lizards. Then The camp gets shut down. And Stanley Realizes That Zero Is the reason that he got accused of stealing. And THE END.

The Story begins with Stanley Yelnats IV. He is walking down the road then a pair of shoes Gets thrown at him But not just any shoes. Very "RARE" Expensive Shoes. He hears police sirens And Runs then the police catch him and accuse him of stealing the shoes. Then he goes to court And gets sent to a camp for young Boys.

My Favorite part of the book was When Zero Smacked MR. Pendanski with the shovel and said to his face DIG!.

Climax

The climax is when Stanley digs a hole and finds a gold lipstick tube with the initials "K.B." on it. (Which stands for Kate Barlow). When that happened the warden got excited and wanted to dig where he found the lipstick. They had to dig for two weeks. Then there is a flashback about Kate and Sam the onion man who gets killed.

Resolution

At the end of the story camp greenlight gets shut down. And it finally rains after one hundred years. Zero finds his mom. Stanley and Zero become next door neighbors. They open the treasure box that they found. There was god and a lot of money and other treasure. Also all of the rest of the boys from camp have a pool party with Stanley and live happily ever after.

Rising Action

The conflict was that Stanley and Zero ran away. They were gone for about two weeks. Stanleys lawyers came and they were mad. And the warden deleted all of Zero's files so no one else even knew he was missing.

My overall thought on holes is that it is a pretty good book. I like that is has drama in it and also some sad parts. I give the book an 8 star rating. It was not the best book ever but it was still pretty good.
