We've seen that in a classroom on the ground, we ddiscuss questions and learning about the environment, land, pollution, climate and related issues is more impressive than any theory.
We made the experience together that language and cultural differences are indeed perceived, but above all, connecting things became clear and are more important. And I never reflected my name so intensive before. And i learnd about foreign food.

Session one
Cinzia

What did you learn today?
I’ve learnt what “A Classroom with a door to the world” means. It isn’t a real and closed space surrounded by decorated items or technological devices but it is a place of the heart and the mind where people meet, gain and share knowledge. It is a place where people show their personal identity, talk about themselves, their habits, customs, national traditions not to part with other people but to appreciate differences and celebrate similarities.
We did some very easy icebreaker games to support this international attitude, such as:
What’s in name? It consists of writing the first 6 things (nouns, adjectives) which come to mind when thinking about your own name. We suggested to use this activity to let learners speak about themselves without feeling unconfident.
The second activity was a collection of sentences regarding the meaning of a name in English, in mothertongue language, the emotion it rises, the number, colour and sound it evokes. Some of this work had already been done before starting the course.
Then we experienced a cultural and emotional learning sharing traditional food and drinks in a global meal under a beach gazebo.
Filally we studied some French words for basic conversation.
What I realized was the power of mutual understanding when cultural or social differences aren’t a barrier but a resource
…to avoid the risk of “people talking without speaking, people hearing without listening, people writing songs that voices never share”

Today I learned that the classroom can be not only in the building. I found out, what internationalisation and national identity means. Today's lesson, teaching materials and resources have created convenient learning conditions. I’m absolutely sure, that I will use the tasks “What’s in name?” during my lessons with students, especially as integration activity. I really liked the fact that there are no bad answers… :)I also learned that I do not have to be afraid of specific sounds of animals at night because they are mosquito-eaters :)

Everything was nice - the teacher, group, food, beach, ocean, great atmosphere :)

Today I learnt that learning processes can be initiated in every environment and especially without any medias.
Regarding todays topics, identity and internationalisation, first of all I learnt a lot about myself and my own identity. I will definitiely use the two strategies we did today in my classes and in international projects.I am sure that my students will also learn a lot about themselves and I think that this is where internationalisation starts - with getting to know myself and my own culture.

Session 1Annett

Today I learned that a classroom doesn't have to be a "room". A special environment creates inspiration and motivation. It is also possible to work on interesting topics without a blackboard or tablet, using simple materials.
I have learnt what identity and nationality means to my group members and to me and what meaning the name has for different people.
At the international lunch we shared the food and drinks we brought from home. We got to know each other and learned a lot about the cultures of the countries from which the group members come.
I think I can take many of today's ideas directly with me and I will do the same with my students.
