I felt a strong sense of empathy for the workers in the video but also bleakness. While it is touching to make light of dark and turbulent times such as the pandemic's impacts on the community, I think many people may feel too anxious or disconcerted at the moment to feel comforted or empowered by a Coca-cola advertisement, which usually brings about happiness. However, brand-wise, Coca-cola has not deviated from their main idea of unity and harmony which is brought about through the universal consumerism of their product. This proves Coca-cola as a strong brand which can fit the trends or themes faced today regardless of circumstance.

The video exuded this positive vibe. It has a message I can absolutely get behind of silver linings behind every storm cloud. The elements of negativity and topics which bring up unhappiness are all replaced with a hopeful message. It shows that even in these dark times we live in, there are still things that can be viewed in a positive light and that it is up to us entirely to decide on our perspective. The visuals were striking, with the darker images going against the warmer tones for the negative and positive elements respectively.

Of course, from a more cynical outlook, it would be naive to think people would gleam any sort of relief from an ad by Coca Cola, though their effort on spreading the harmony and togetherness that is so desperately needed in society at this moment in time is highly admirable. It is commendable that they are able to keep up with trends and ensure their marketing does not stay rigid, but can be changed up easily.

The video made me feel hopeful. It gave me a sense of peace despite the state of the world right now. The way they used contrast to highlight the difference between the positive and negative outcomes of the pandemic was very eye opening because it showed me that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. For example, "for every distance we endure, we rediscover love and devotion". This video, despite being a Coca Cola advertisement, really put things into perspective for me, and showed me that nothing is temporary and things will get better eventually.

The video is relevant as it was made during the COVID-19 pandemic that is still ongoing today and covers the good things we have done with every other negative event that has occured. It’s quite heartwarming especially in the current situation where everything seems like they’re at its worst.

the video made me feel emotional and hopeful. even though this ad is heartbreaking, it shows optimism. this ad shows the negative representation of the current state of the world and contrast it with hope and positivity. this ad is relatable because everyone is facing the same problems etc. social distancing. it made me empathise with the social workers who are doing so much to help fight the disease, appreciating them so much more. it is truly commendable that coca cola decided to put an ad like this at a time when it seems like there’s no hope, reassuring people that things will eventually get better.

The video is makes me feel all happy and nice, since its message of "there is still positivity even in negativity" is quite a wholesome one.

What I am confused about is the fact that this is made by Coca-Cola. One of the furthest things in my mind while watching this was to go buy a Coca-Cola.

Now granted, the logo style for To The Human Race is pretty much identical to Coca-Cola, but there is a significant mood clash here. The video gives off very positive vibes, yet the Coca-Cola logo being quite noticeable there gives people the feeling of being sold something, which is generally a negative vibe.

I suppose if you can't sell to them, guilt trip them....

However, i was not expecting the coca cola branding to appear at the end and it threw me off slightly.

Staying at home all the time with all my friends and family safe, it's hard to remember that there is a pandemic going on.
