The drawing was a bit dirty and I hope that when I finish it the stains won’t be too obvious. I will be using markers or acrylic paint when I finish the drawing which might not be too soon as I’ll have to finish drawing the paintings in the gallery but I might be going for a Chinese themed gallery. And I really need to draw( and paint) faster.😭

I drew this as I always wanted to have a big window with only a few grills on it. I feel free and refreshed in the morning when I wake up and look at the sunrise across the neighbourhood. I also feel free when I have a room with little obstructions, and my accomplishments on the wall. I like sleeping on the floor as when I roll of the bed, i don’t fall off😝.

I feel that perspective drawing brings my artwork to life.I want to use bright colours in my artwork to make it stand out.One point perspective drawing is very interesting in my opinion.I chose warm and cool colours that are contrasting for the name as I want the letters to stand out.The drawing of the shapes helped me to learn how to use perspective point in my artwork.I prefer to use bright colours in my artwork to make it look vibrant.Although the process of blending the colours from dark to light,the overall experience for me is very fun.

All the colours I used in this painting are some of my favourite colour combinations but the letter A looks like an alien or slime because I accidentally used a brighter green. If I did not make this mistake, this artwork will probably look nicer.

I drew this one-point perspective artwork(which is not yet finished) of an art gallery. It has many artworks and each of them have a reason behind me drawing them. Some artworks are flowers as I love flowers and nature. One artwork there that I like the most is the one with bubbles. I drew bubbles as I have a bubbly nature and I enjoy playing with bubbles.

I have seen all these artworks before which is why I did them. The second biggest canvas with the line going up and down was supposed to be the opposite of Vincent Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” but it turned out bad. The canvas with the banana is a replica of a world-famous artwork with a banana sticked onto the canvas with duct tape. Lastly, there is an artwork with a star beside it and words inside. The star says “Best Picasso Work” because I tried to draw one of Pablo Picasso’s work and obviously failed. The rest of the artworks are stuff I have drawn before.

For the artworks on the wall, I put random shapes because I wanted it to represent confusion in people’s lives. I drew a flower because I love nature. I have learnt about one point perspective and drew a few shapes and my name. These types of artworks inspires me to try new things as there are many things i do not know. At first, one point perspective seemed very challenging but after practicing, it just got easier. I’m about 60% done with my artwork and hope to finish it soon.

One point perspective drawing is easy and really interesting. It shows me that art is infinite and can be seen in a different way. I do not know how to explain what I mean,but art looks amazing. I did not like art for 5 years but love it now. I really think that art is useful as it is the only international language. For the name drawing, I used many bright colours to make the drawing really pop.Usually in all of my artworks, l use very dark or dull colours, but after trying to use brighter colours like orange, I find the artwork a lot nicer to look at. For my art gallery, I used some abstract art as well as some cute little doodles. Some people might find these doodles weird to be in an art gallery, however personally, I think it looks cute and makes the gallery look more fun! I really enjoyed making all of these artworks and hope to do so again!

The left side of the art gallery is based on abstract art and the right side is based on some pictures that I think are nice to draw. The picture on the most top of the wall is based on the fruits that I like to eat. I drew the second picture about the sunset as I think the sunset is a beautiful scene to draw. The third picture about the snakes chasing the mouse is because I did not know what else to draw. I drew the last picture because I like to play hide and seek with my sister, Evelyn and my cousin.

at first perspective drawing was hard for me but after drawing a few shapes , I realised that it wasn’t that bad and found it pretty fun

I really enjoyed myself during art lesson since I can get to do perspective drawing. It was really interesting as I get to learn another way on how to make my artwork more three dimensional. I really enjoyed learning how to draw with one-point perspective. For the first lesson, we learnt how to use one-point perspective to draw simple things like shapes. I think that using one-point perspective to draw shapes is fun because it is easy. For the second lesson, we learnt how to draw our names in block letters using one-point perspective. First, we had to mark a dot on the sketchbook. Secondly, we must draw square boxes for the letters that make up our name. Thirdly, we have to draw in the letters of our names in those square boxes. Fourth, we must erase away the lines of the square boxes. Fifth, we must draw lines extending from the side of the letters of our names to the dot which I mentioned for the first step. Six, after you are done and only if you have time, you can colour or paint in the letters of your name in colour pencils, oil pastels or paints. I also think that the second lesson is fun. As for the third lesson, we drew our own art galleries. It was soo much fun! I added in my pop art details. That’s all: easy and relaxing, right?

honestly for me it’s childish… cause I didn’t know what to draw and I wanted to go w a more ‘ coquette ‘ look but I think it’s the colours I used that made it childish. If I maybe made some of the colours more light ( light pink, white ) maybe it would’ve came out to be more pretty. the only part I like is the moon and stars :’)

This picture of Chloe reminds me of when we helped clean the blackboard at the Artspression lodge during recess. The older drawings were harder to erase which made our arms ache but it was so fun as we were spending time with each other and laughing at jokes. On the left side of the artwork, PSLE, and all the other subjects were a worry. On the right side of the artwork, I am represented on of my favourite games. The items on the right in game are very difficult items to get and require effort and ideal conditions to obtain. Both of the sides have things that are difficult to have or a thing that you need to work towards it. Enclosed in a cage, I need to reach out of the cage with determination and strength to grasp the items, the colour is also a perfect contrast to the mood that it puts me in. With PSLE approaching, we all need to reach out of this cage and grasp the things that lie outside.

It does not look very accurate to a human head but it does gets it job done-The things aside from the portrait tells us that everything in life is fun, hence is in colour but I am in black and white which means that i dont see the fun things in life and is dull. I used various electronics to shape my face which turned out looking pretty cool- phones as my eyes/ spectacles, old flip phones to be my eyebrows, cameras to be my cheeks and a phone for my lips. Overall this artwork is mediocre for how it looks.🥲

My self portrait, which consists of me and flowers for the background, was very fun to draw. At first, I thought that my self portrait would turn out ugly but since Miss Yeo taught me how to draw a realistic face, this turned out to be my best self portrait I drew. Miss Yeo also told me to draw flowers for my background since I love flowers and it actually turned out quite nice. Overall, I am happy about this drawing that I drew and look forward to the next art lesson.

I think the most expressive segment is excited because all of them are my favourite colours and the first things I think of when I'm excited. It was hard at first as I had forgotten how to draw self-potraits but I eventually solved the problem with the help of my friends. I made some mistakes so I tried to cover them up. I enjoyed today’s lesson because we were not confined to the walls of a classroom and instead, went outside to the school’s volleyball court to create our nature mandala. It was fun having to work with my teammates, Jaylene and Jacky, to pick up suitable leaves for our mandala. The sketch is how I originally wanted to arrange the leaves but in the end, the mandala we created with different ideas combined was much better looking. However, if we had more time, we would definitely make the mandala better. I would still leave the leaves, though, as leaves strewn haphazardly around is more nature-like. This lesson not only allowed me to explore land art even further, it also improved communication skills within my group. I hope to work more with my group in upcoming land art related activities.

It was extremely fun as i got to learn to work well with my teammates to pull off an amazing land art. I hope that I will have more opportunities to go out and make more mandalas!

Reflection: Generally, making the mandala was fun and enjoyable. When I made the mandala using leaves, it was really nice to make and I loved the completed work. Although the location we did it at was quite hot and sunny and the leaves were dirty, the whole process was worthwhile. When I drew the imaginary mandala, i could not think of a design so I trusted the process and it turned out quite nice.
