I plan on continuing to grow my Professional Community on Twitter. I am finding Twitter to be a great resource for Math Educational resources. Along the lines of Twitter I will collaborate with my colleagues, because I really do learn a lot from them. I ask a lot of questions and get a lot of help and learn this way. My colleagues help me a ton and share with me their knowledge of technology and how it makes their life easier and then try to teach me!

I plan on reading the technology tidbits when they come out from JoAnna. This newscast is packed full of useful technological information that I would not have even known about if I did not take the time to read the articles. This newscast educates me about technologies that are available for my use and I would not have even known if I had not taken the time to read these so thank you for these useful tidbits!
Secondly, I plan on looking for new technology courses to take to further my education, to further my students education and to not only increase my knowledge of the subject, but to keep current with technology. Technology is constantly changing and improving and we have to somehow at the least keep up with it and at the best get ahead of it. I just would like to stay current and not look like i have no inkling of a clue as what the first step would be to start my task. For instance, I didn't know how to make
a Google Form before this class and now I do. I just want to keep up with my students.

2. Role in Teaching Digital Citizenship.

I am constantly having discussions with students about their rolls as a good digital citizens when they are on their iPads using YouTube or messaging each other. I am also reminding myself of what I have learned by taking this course and that is the following (I am quoting myself from a previous Twitter posting, "21st Cent. Skills and Dig. Cit. work together, because I see the the first being the foundation giving you the skills to learn and Dig. Cit. is the application of the skills. 21st Cent. is the tools for success and DC is what you do with the tools.
I found a great BrainPop video that explains some of Digital Citizenship. BrainPop has a few videos to choose from. I chose the video and BrainPop unit on Digital Etiquette, because I believe that it would speak to the middle school students on their level. The video is just over 4 minutes long and talks about "Flaming", "Trolls", and "Neticate" amongst other terms. I even learned what these words meant by watching this video. The students like BrianPop and I think this is the perfect platform to continue stressing the importance of Digital Citizenship. I use Google Classroom as a platform for my students to start "netscaping" and to practice good "neticate". I do allow them to talk to one another on Google Classroom, but since I get the notifications on my phone when someone comments I quickly reply and if a student is abusing this privilege and not talking math I speak to that student one to one and if this doesn't stop the inappropriate messaging then I block them. However, I try not to block them, because I do feel that it is important for them to speak math to one another any way that is possible. Therefore, I leave Google Classroom open for comments that are math related to their homework or studying etc. I make sure to closely monitor their comments.

1. The MA Technology Standards are long and complicated, but are followed in my classroom.

I follow the MA Technology standards when we solve algorithms, such as the long division algorithm or if we take time out of our busy schedule to participate in the Hour of Code. Every one of my lessons follows the Technology Teaching Standards Guiding Principles of
"Teaching, Learning, Equity, Literacy Across the Content, Assessment (different forms of assessment, such as paper assessments, assessments on Google Forms, Quizlets, Math O, Thumbs Up Thumbs Down, Exit Tickets and so on and so on) and last but not least Planning and Support. I feel I follow these standards every time I plan and teach a lesson. I use the Smartboard to teach the Examples before students work on the Exercises in their cooperative groups. Secondly, using Google Classroom as the platform to communicate lessons, subplans, homeworks, Problem of the days and much more to my students. Thirdly, I use calculators in class only when needed. Next, there are a few apps currently on the iPad that I use for extra math practice including homework, "sponge" work (free time after a test or a quiz or even after classwork) or study work for MCAS. These apps include, but are not limited to the Kahn Academy App and Prodigy app. Students love prodigy. One last thing that I use in class in order to post my 6th grade tests and quizzes is Edoctrina., where students take their quizzes and tests online. Last year we used Google Forms. I liked the data that Google Forms provided us and I felt the forms were easier to set up and to use overall. These are just some ways I believe that I am incorporating the MA Technology Standards into my lessons.

5. Ways I will continue to use Technologies to enhance Learning in my classroom.

I plan on using a variety of technologies to enhance learning. After taking this course I am much more confident in using Google Forms and I feel as though I could confidently write an exam and have my students take this quiz/test as a form. I also can use Google Forms as an exit ticket, because education is data driven now and Google forms offers the results as colorful data. I plan on continuing to use Google Classroom with my students to get important messages across to the entire class, to quickly message a student, to send out videos, Eureka Modules to download and to post any homework or classwork . I plan on using Gmail to email parents and colleagues as well as keep my calendar up to date. After taking this course I am more familiar with some of the apps on my iPad such as Kahn Academy, which I see myself assigning as homework and posting their videos to classroom. I also plan on using the BrainPop videos to reinforce what I taught or to preteach a lesson. I plan on using the diver app for number lines and Number Sense units. Speaking of videos I will still use YouTube to find videos and then I will post these instructional math videos on Google Classroom, which gives students a different perspective and allows them to see the same math done in different ways. I will also use NBC Learn and Discovery Education now that I remember that they are there. I love how I can find videos about the math I teach and how it is used in the real world! Love that! I plan on using Google Drive and now that I know how to name and save files I will be organizing my Drive. I will also be organizing my Gmail now that I know how to name my folders and add folders. I will use Google Docs more as well as Pages, maybe interchangeably, I know so much more now than I did back in September and it is all relevant to my job! I use notability already in math every day with my students, because their Math Program, Eureka, is downloaded to this app. Lastly, I will continue to use Google Chrome and continue to play and learn about the extensions when I have spare time.

Below is a screenshot of all the apps I plan on using after this class is over,
