The quality of water is connected to the theme of how technological advancements cause environmental impacts because in “Ready Player One” because in “Ready Player One” the setting had been in highly populated urban cities. The lessons that had been learned from the Read Player One by Ernest Cline had been the idea that since people have come disconnected from the real world, they are unaware of the tragedies in their own world. In the watershed, La Plata River Basin it is an example of the Tragedy of the Commons and how people try to get the most from the land, even though there is a limit to resources. All in all, the watershed appears to be unlikely that changes will be made that will alter the negative affects of technology and the use of fossil fuels.
