"Since last winter, Conservatives have been demanding the Liberals come up with a plan to stop these illegal crossings.
We want an asylum system that is compassionate and works for the people who need it most urgently.
Our focus must remain on those who are legally working their way through our refugee system. Justin Trudeau has broken Canada’s immigration system and we need to fix it."
"According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, 1,565 people were intercepted by the RCMP in February. We believe that people are scared of guns people they aren't educated enough know how they don't know that they can be used dangerously in the wrong hand such as people who aren't educated enough in how to use them. Common gun safety could make the community safer and aware for our families and children.

If a federal election were held this week I think that carbon tax would be one of the biggest issue discussed and debated. I believe that this will be a huge part of the election because all of the parties have a different mind set on the topic. Carbon tax has impacted many families so far and hasn't showed any positive effects. being as I live in a small town where there is no public transit, the idea that the tax is going towards that does not help me or other people in my community. If you have a job that you need to commute to everyday having to pay extra for gas is a struggle. the liberal party hasn't informed us how much carbon tax we are going to end up paying by the time is goes in full effect

If there were a federal election that happened this week, I think the biggest issue to be discussed would be on Post Secondary. For many Canadian's the cost for post secondary is too much to afford and many can't beyond high school because of this issue. Justin Trudeau says " We will provide direct help to students from low- and middle-income families to help them pay for their education and ensure that debt loads are manageable. We will increase the maximum Canada Student Grant for low-income students to $3,000 per year for full-time students, and to $1,800 per year for part-time students."
The more people who are able to go to post secondary the less people who will need support from the government and have a better life overall.
The liberal party wants to help out and invest in more into the Post-Secondary Student Support Program, which supports Indigenous students attending post-secondary education.

I think that protecting and conserving fresh water is a major issue because Canada is one of the top countries to waste water and is being exploited by oils and gas productions without much knowledge of the damage it is doing. Canada has an ageing population and the health care system is going to need to be reformed soon to deal with them. Many seniors in Canada have enough money to pay for good health care, but many do not. Those who don't need to rely on their families which can be hard if the family lacks income. The parties should consider making long term care subsidized to help the elderly and their families.
