The student can then choose another letter and pick a classmate to throw the ball to. This can be differentiated by allowing a class aid to help a child if they are having a hard time figuring out a word. This can also be done in small groups if some students get overwhelmed by it.

At the end of the story, create some type of visual (graphic organizer) together to help the students see the details of the story as a whole.

This can be differentiated by having an aid help a student follow along and ask them questions privately to see if they are understanding.
