How many of you eat your vegetables at home? Hold a one finger up for yes and three fingers up for no.

Today we are going to learn the differences between fruits and vegetables! Be prepared to use our thinking caps today!

What fruit or vegetable do you want to try for the first time?

For the farmer's market the students will have two roles they can choose to be. They can be a farmer that sells their fruits and vegetables or they can be a customer at the market. They will have a play register with money that they can collect when customer buys the food.

The students will have cut outs of fruits and vegetables. They will have two baskets one for fruit and one for vegetables. Students will us these cut outs/objects and put them in the correct basket.

Materials:

• 2 baskets

This is something we can do everyday and use different types of fruits and vegetables. They will have cut outs and have to glue the fruit/vegetables together. They will then write on each fruit/vegetable starting at 1. This can go up to 10 fruits on a page or less.

Materials:
