The title of the book I read was "American born Chinese"

The reason I liked the book was because it was very funny and engaging and it made me laugh at times when they said jokes.

The story is a perspective of 3 one of them is a monkey, a chinese boy who moved from China, and a kid who is visiting his cousin for a few weeks and the interesting thing is they all meet up at the end of the story and it gives a good ending.

Other books that are similar to this book would be Avatar the last airbender it is also in china were there is a great wall and there are 4 different powers people can have water, fire, earth and air but the fire nation tried wiping out all of the air benders but they forgot one of them.

American born chinese by Gene lua yang

The book is written in 3rd person omniscient. Because you can see everyone's thoughts in the book and see how everyone is feeling and what they are thinking. You can also see that it is 3rd person view because the person, or being telling the story, is not a character in the book.

This week i finished the book in 3 days and what i read was that there is a stubborn monkey god who is almighty and superior to other people and ke gets carried away and gets trapped under rocks for 500 years.

After 500 years, a monk came, and helped him escape. In return, the monkey became one of his disciples, and in the end the monkey became one of the gods of heaven and sent down one of his oldest sons to become another god of heaven.

The moral or main idea of the book is to keep a steady head and to not always think to highly of yourself. One of the supporting details is that the monkey king got to big of an ego and he lost it all

Second the son of the monkey king also got a big head and thought highly of himself and he also lost everything

Thirdly the monk taught the monkey king all about how to think kindl of yourself and that he taught him to protect him and don't let your ego take control of yourself.
