1. A theme of the story is to
2. Adelita is very caring, kind, and . She was very kind because even though her evil step-mom and step-sisters were very mean and cruel to Adelita, she still invited them to her wedding with the prince. Also she is caring because she always cared for Esperanza because Esperanza always cared for her and her family. She also cared for her step mom and sisters even though she made her do it she would do what they said and cared for their needs. And cared for her dad when he died.
3. Both Mexican and American versions have Cinderella being a hardworking person even though she is belittled by her evil step-sisters and evil step-mom. They also have that when both Cinderella and Adelita run away from the prince, they leave behind a glass slipper.
4. The Cinderella story I knew the fairy god mother came to her by being in disguise, and the Mexican one had a close family friend who had a dream come to her and tell her what she thought she should do.
5.

1. The theme of the story was to not be mean, I think this because it showed how the step sisters were mean to Cinderella and it eventually backfired on them.
2. The charter traits of Cinderella are hardworking because the was always working hard in the kitchen. Another charter trait is nice because even after how mean the step sisters were to her she still choose to be nice back. One last trait is caring because she choose to care for her old grandma.
3. This is similar with the whole idea of the dance and the mean step sisters and someone saving the day for Cinderella.
4. Things different are that in the Mexican one her grandma came to save the day and she just were her mothers old dress and there was no magic involved.
5. I prefer the american one because that is the one that was told to me and it reminds of being a little kid and that is just what I am used to.

1. The theme of the story is don't put others down because in the story the stepsisters were so mean to Cindy Ellen, but in the end she got the happily ever after and the sisters defenitley did not.
2. My Cindy Ellen is hardworking, talented, and confident. She was all theese because she did all the chores that were asked of her, could do many skills with the horse and rope, and whenever she did the square dance she was very confident and outgoing.
3. This version is similar because the two mean stepsisters and step mom made her do all the chores and wear rags. Both Cinderellas had a fairy god mother to help them get to where they wanted to go. Also, its similar because bother characters end up with there "prince" in the very end.
4. The biggest difference is the setting, and instead of going to a ball she went to a rodeo. The fairy god mothers are different because in the original she has a wand, but in the western version its a gun the shoots fairy dust. The last big difference is instead of a glass slipper falling off its a diamond spur.
5. I really liked the western version, but i still prefer the original because that's what i grew up with and I like how its the story of a prince and Cinderella at a ball instead of it being at a rodeo.

1. A theme of this story is that patients and good behavior will be rewarded. In this Cinderella, Pear blossom is a very good person and acts accordingly and although she does not get the treatment she deserves for a long time at the end she is rewarded handsomely.
2. Pear blossom is shown to be an all around good person. She is very honest, never lying to her horrid stepmother about how it was magical beings helping her. As well as being respectful, never talking back to her mean stepmom even when she was wrong. Pear blossom was also shy, not being able to talk to the magistrate when he asked her to be his bride.
3. In our version of Cinderella this is not her real name. This follows in the Korean version her "evil" stepmother/sister gives a less flattering name to Pear Blossom, Pigling. As well as the aspect of an evil family member. Not to mention the all important shoe!
4. The Korean Cinderella shows a more prominent showcase of magic, starting the story off with "when magical creatures were as common as cabbages," as well as it being magic animals that help without changing form and are later looked for by the stepsister. This also stands as more of a backstory for a name, Ewah.
5. Personally I like the Korean version more, this is a part of my culture I've never been able to read and the Cinderella is less of a cry baby, Pear Blossom resembles a stronger women then our well known Cinderella.

1. A theme of this story is don´t waste power and break promises. This can be seen when Yeh-Shen uses the fish bones and breaks a promise and the bones stop talking to her.
2. Yeh-Shen is sneaking in how she is hid the fish from her Step-Mother, quick in how she was able to get back in her house before her Step-Mother came home, and trustful in how she uses the bones to give her food.
3. Both the Chinese and American versions have an evil Step-Mother that doesn´t allow for Cinderella or Yeh-Shen go out and dress nice.
4. The Chinese version is different because instead of having a Fairy, it has a fish that is giving Yeh-Shen her wishes.
5. I prefer the Chinese because it was different in the way it told the story and had different characters that went with the culture.

1. The theme of the African Cinderella was to show kindness. You can see this whenever one sister decides to not help the other beings while the other sister helps them all out. Throughout the story it reveals that the king was all of the beings that the first sister failed to help out.
2. The three character traits of my version of Cinderella was compassionate, helpful, and understanding. This is portrayed in the story by revealing what happens at the end. It tells you that the second sister helped out all of the beings that asked for help unaware that the king was the one she was really helping.
3. This is similar to my version of the story where the sister fails a test. Whether it was being able to fit the shoe or to help out the creatures that were king.
4. The version of the African Cinderella differs from the one I originally know because it has different plots. One makes it so that you have to fit the magical slipper that will only fit one girl because all other girls have different shoe sizes. While in the African Cinderella you have to pass a secret hidden test to prove your kindness.
5. I prefer the African one because it makes you really think about helping others out. It shows the first sisters kindness out of her heart and not to greed. Sense no one knew of the test, you would have to willingly be willing to help out a random bystander and not expect a reward. It shows the greediness of one of the sister where she races off to meet the king first and doesn't show sympathy to the poor person that wanted food at the beginning.

This Cinderella was very kind because she gave some of her food to the starving boy. She is also polite and quiet. She does not tattle on her sister and even though her sister hates her, she still shows her sister respect and loves her.
3. This is similar to the version I knew because in the one I grew up with Cinderella is kind to her mice friends and in this version Nyasha was kind to the garden snake who ended up being the prince.
4. It is different because in the one I grew up with she went to a ball to meet the prince and in the African version she was invited to meet the prince but the story did not say anything about a ball
5. I prefer the Disney version mostly because its what I have known most of my life and I like the plot better than this one

When she went to the rodeo, she came in self-assured when she rode the bucking bronco and held on longer than anyone. She is very dedicated to the ranch and the basics of being a cowgirl. When Cindy was up on her horse doing something, she was always determined and never hesitated.
3. This version and the one I grew up with are similar because of the plot and the characters. In both, there are two stepsisters who are rude and treat Cinderella or Cindy awfully. There is also the step mother who doesn't like Cindy at all, know matter how hard she works. Both have a prince who falls in love with the girl and the girl gets away from him. They both end with the prince trying to find a girl that lost something and ends up finding her.
4.

1. The theme of the story is to not be consumed with jealousy. This is seen through the mother and her jealousy for the other daughter's beauty compared to hers.
2. She is sneaky, hardworking, and kind. She is sneaky for learning to keep the magic fish bones a secret, she is hardworking for doing all of the chores the jealous mother assigned, and she is kind for taking care of and raising the fish.
3. The mother wanted her daughter to marry into the royal family instead of the other daughter.
4. There was only one daughter who didn't hate the other daughter, the other daughter married a king, and the jealous mother and her daughter were crushed to death in a cave.
5. I prefer the Chinese version over the american version because the conflict between the mother and the other daughter is the mother's a jealousy instead of simple neglect and preference.

While the younger sister had the patience to talk to them and help them with what they needed
2. Three character traits from Nyasha (Cinderella) is that she was patient for not sneaking out early to go to the king Another one is caring. Every one she met on the way to see the king she helped all she could and did not ignore them.Optimistic because she looks for the good in everything
3.The similarities between these myths is that they bot have someone who is evil. In the African version its only one. In the one i know its to sisters.
4.In the African version there is only 2 sisters instead in the one i grew up knowing there is 3. In the African version they test who is the right one by seeing who was the nicest to the people they met in the trail.
While in the one i know they used the slipper to see who was the right one.
5.I prefer the African version. Because i think ts just as a good story but you can really tell what this myth wants you to know. It really makes the message clear.

Another difference is that the the magic comes randomly at different moments when pear blossom needs it.
5.I prefer the Korean version because the culture of it is different and the fact that i haven't heard this story 1000 times over makes the Korean one better to me.

Also in both stories, the "Cinderella" has stepsisters.
4. This stories Cinderella is a boy. The Disney versions Cinderella is a girl. Also, in this story, Cinderlad takes down a sea dragon and saves the princess. In the Disney version, Cinderella just tries on a glass slipper and boom! Happy ever after.
5. She shows this by sticking with her step-family when they mistreated her, after they made her the kitchen maid and kicked her only friend, she still maintained being heartwarming.
3. This version is similar because in both stories, Cinderella's both parents die and leave her an orphan. As well, when she becomes an orphan her step-family gives her the worst things to live with.
4. The way both versions are different are that they both have different names, in the Mexican version, her name is Adelita. Another difference is that the prince used a scarf to find her while he was looking around for her love, instead of Cinderella leaving a glass slipper.
5. I prefer the Mexican version the most because of how much my culture relates her her's. A theme of this story is that keeping a kind and hopeful heart will never go unnoticed, because of the youngest sister staying faithful even through her sisters harassment she remained hopeful of seeing the unseen.
2. My Cinderella is faithful, because even though her sisters showed no mercy towards her she remained buoyant. My Cinderella is also confident because although her skin was victimized by her sister and is rough she still showed up to meet the unseen prince.
3. The Native American Tale and the version I grew up with are significantly different, but one thing they both and most Cinderella stories have are the antagonists were the sisters in both stories.
4. In my version of Cinderella their was a fairy godmother, in this story she was not present and neither were the pumpkin, mice or the ball. Some might say the sister of the unseen prince could be the fairy godmother but not so much in my perspective.
5. I actually think I prefer this version because in my version the prince only really started to be attracted to Cinderella because of her looks, and he was not very present. In this story he was very present.

1. the theme of this story is to be patient. she does alot of hard work but doesnt deserve the credit she does but yet she is grateful for what little freedom she gets.
2.the character traits for pear blossom is that she is hard working when her stepmother and sisters tell her what to do and she does it. she is very honest of what she sees or hear and she is grateful for things her stepmom and sister tell her what she can do after a long hardworking day
3. this is similar to the disney one we know. they both have evil stepsisters and mother, they both have to work hard everyday as a maid. and at the end they both get their happily ever ending.
4. this version is different from the disney version because her name is from a tree her mom and dad planted, she is told that if she doesnt do what she is told, thank she would be sent to the market, her nick name from her step mother and sister is little pigling, her fairy godmother was either a goblin or a frog.
5. i perfer the disney version because i love the musical they have and how cinderella are friends with the mices.

1. The theme of the Western Cinderella is if you are nice and kind even if someone is disrespecting you, you will end up better off. This is shown when Cindy Ellen's stepsisters and stepmother were calling her names and being rude to her. She didn't fight back and she did what she was told. Because she did this, she won multiple events in the rodeo and got Joe Prince.
4. This version is different because the father doesn't die. He is around but the stepmother takes charge. Another major difference is that it's a completely different setting. It's all in the desert and she goes to a rodeo and then a square dance. This is a two day thing rather than just one night like the Disney version of Cinderella. The fairy godmother is actually an old western lady. She talks western and has a western attire.
5. I prefer the Disney Cinderella because of how elegant it is. I have watched the movie so many times, I can't imagine Cinderella not being a princess. I like how the whole story unfolds with the prince finding Cinderella and how she had to escape her room to try on the glass slipper.
