Vladek took a train there and saw how poorly the Jews were treated there.

Jews were getting beaten.

The war started to happen.

All the Jews over 70 had to go to the Czech republic because they were most likely going to murder them.

The germans took the Jews to Nuremberg to work and they took all their things.

The Jews stayed in small tents that made them get frostbite.

To pervent getting lice and pus, Vladek bathed in the water to clean out his wounds.

The train dropped them off at Lublin.

They were killing Jews in Lublin in groups.

Vladek was sent into combat but Vladeks dad tried to avoid him from going so he starved him, Vladek had to go either way.

All the Jews that were left from Sosnowiec had to go and live in ghettos there.

Vladek made a bunker for Anja and her family to hide in.

They covered the bunker with coal because the Germans brought dogs to sniff them out but they didn't find them.

While living in the ghettos they made bunkers to hide from the Nazi's but then they got ratted out.

They Nazis made all the Jews showers and shave their hair off.

The camp was located in Aushwitz and Vladek got help from the Kapo.

Mandelbam was in bad conditions, he had big clothes, bug shoes, and he had lost his spoon.

The Kapo payed Vladek with food so Vladek could teach him English

Vladek was able to convince the Kapo to give him better shoes and clothes for Mandelbam.

The Kapo was also able to keep Vladek from getting sent to work.

Mandelbam got killed.

Vladek repaired shoes and was able to convince Anja's Kapo to give her better treatment.

Everyone from Auschwitz has to walk over to Gross-Rosen

They were stuck in trains made for horses and cows and they couldn't breathe

Vladek used his small blanket to get high and he was able to eat snow.

Dachua was one of the worst camps because there was a lice infestation and there was a disease going around.

Vladek became friends with a French man and he gave him food from his family.

Vladek traded the food the French man gave him so he could get an extra shirt in order to get food.

Vladek and Shivek were placed in a displaced camp.

Vladek got diagnosed with Diabetes and Typhus.

The Germans didn't have a lot of resources and they didn't have any water, Vladek said that the Germans got to see a little of how it was for the Jews.

Vladek found two girls that he knew from his home town.

the two girls told Vladek about a Jew that went back to his bakery and there were some poles living there, the poles beat him and hanged him.

After the war was over Vladek met some people that let him stay.

Vladek explained to them that they are looking for Anja, and that when he last saw her she was extremely weak and thin.

Anja and Vladek stayed with one of the only living family member left.

Vladek and Anja got sent to the concentration camp and saw the old buildings they used to pass.

Vladek teaches the Kapo English in order to get better resources like food or better clothes.

When Vladek was with the Kapo, the Kapo mentioned that they were taking woman from Birkenau can go to the barracks.

Vladek saves up resources to be able to get Anja over.
