The Monument Quilt consists of thousands of red fabric squares, each one created by a survivor or ally and bearing messages of support, solidarity, and resistance. The squares are assembled together to create highly visible and public displays that transform the social landscape and generate a sense of community among survivors and supporters.

The project is ongoing and has been displayed in multiple cities across the United States. The Monument Quilt aims to create a public platform for survivors to share their stories and ultimately, to help shift the narrative around sexual and domestic violence from one of shame and blame to one of healing and collective action.

The Monument Quilt has also been displayed in various memorial events and exhibitions, including an exhibit at the National Mall in Washington, DC, and a display in front of the Supreme Court during the confirmation hearing of Justice Brett Kavanaugh. These events and exhibitions provide a powerful platform for survivors of sexual and domestic violence to share their stories, advocate for change, and demand justice.

In addition to public displays and exhibitions, the Monument Quilt project also includes a digital archive, where survivors can submit their stories and quilt squares online. This online platform provides a space for survivors who cannot attend public events to share their stories and connect with other survivors and supporters.
