Great for:
-al pastor tacos
-mar y tierra fries

Bad for: Carne Asada

Sit Down? : Kind of, but here's what I suggest: Get your tacos to go, then take the 10 minute walk to the ocean and sit on one of the many benches the city of La Jolla provides.

Picture this:
You love Mexican sea food, so you decide to take your lady on a romantic trip to Oscars on Emerald's. You walk in and the line is horrible, BUT the chef comes out and gives everyone waiting in line complimentary soup, like he always does. <3 You and your lady drink the soup and order your food to go. You then decide to walk the half block it takes to reach the sand and eat your FISHERMAN'S TORTA (this is what I recommend) while watching the sunset.

You're smart, so you brought lots of salsa to go, and after the two of you walk 5 minutes south to enjoy touristy Mission Beach. She falls in love with you, you have 5 kids. One of them wins the lotto and buys you a BMW.

Where?: Mission Beach/PB
Great for: fisherman's tortas, octopus tacos
Sit down?: Not a sit down restaurant but there are tables and chairs. It's always crowded though so just go sit on the beach. There's a dude who's always there that will blow bubbles for you.
