The use of visual art in Canada day:
-Canada day involves festivities that celebrate the use of art. Some of these events include:
-VIBE arts on the 150th anniversary collected‘150 reasons we love Canada’ for an online art gallery.
-Canada 150 mural mosaic:  the mural mosaic team made over 80,000 paintings and 150 murals across Canada to act as a time capsule for future generations. 
-ART EXPRESS’D: The Winnipeg art gallery send three mobile art studios made from 20 foot metal shipping containers to 15 cities across Canada. Each studio had a place where the public creates art about their vision of Canada.
-In celebration, younger children make arts and crafts from maple leaves and some people paint the Canada flag on their faces.

My festival Dia del los muertos(the day of the dead) has all of the elements above along with few symbols like  marigolds are an important symbol of Dia de los Muertos In most Indian villages, beautiful altars (ofrendas) are made in each home. They are decorated with candles, buckets of flowers (wild marigolds ) fruit, peanuts, stacks of tortillas and big Day-of-the-Dead breads called pan de muerto.
