I live in Poland my whole life, so I am used to polish beliefs and traditions, also most of my friends are Polish, so that is why a part of me is connected to the local culture. Although, I go to an international school where I am exposed to many different cultures. But also I have been exposed to different kinds of culture when I moved to Poland and also the school because I have many friends from different countries. The Internet plays an important part in my life as this is the major reason I am connected to the global culture.

I consider having both strong local and global identities, but to be more inclined to the global one. As I have been born and raised for the biggest part of my life in Belarus, I was encultured to the traditions and values of it. However, the use of Internet and international friends around the world made me more prone to consider global values as a priority. As I have had the opportunity to live outside of Poland, my global culture developed greatly. Additionally, my current use of the internet to connect with the world as well as the growing spread of information have an impact on my global awareness.
However, my local culture still has a large influence on my life. Both of my parents have very strong local identities, which naturally influence my identity and values. In global contexts, I see how my behavior reflects my local culture by upholding cultural beliefs that I was taught were traditionally adequate. Due to this combination of the impact of both global culture as well as local culture on my identity, I would recognize my position as a spot between the two.

In addition my family is also somewhat westernized so a lot of the local culture has diminished.
