I think that I am in between the local and global culture. I live in Poland my whole life, so I am used to polish beliefs and traditions, also most of my friends are Polish, so that is why a part of me is connected to the local culture. Although, I go to an international school where I am exposed to many different cultures. Everyday I use the internet which makes me also connected to the global culture, since I receive information from all around the world. ;)))

I think I have neither local or global culture so probably I am somewhere in between. I have lived in India for most of my life and I have adapted many things from my family and the community like: language, beliefs, religion , customs and trades and this is why I am connected to the local culture. But also I have been exposed to different kinds of culture when I moved to Poland and also the school because I have many friends from different countries. The Internet plays an important part in my life as this is the major reason I am connected to the global culture.

I would be somewhere in 7 to 9 due to the fact I was born in Saudi however traveled in my younger years until we reached Poland and I don't think I've picked up any polish mannerisms or values. In addition to the fact I've spent most my time in the internet which contributes to a global perspective.

Cultural identity score: 7
I consider having both strong local and global identities, but to be more inclined to the global one. As I have been born and raised for the biggest part of my life in Belarus, I was encultured to the traditions and values of it. However, the use of Internet and international friends around the world made me more prone to consider global values as a priority. Therefore, I identify my cultural identity as more global rather local

I do consider myself to have a strong global identity. As I have had the opportunity to live outside of Poland, my global culture developed greatly. Additionally, my current use of the internet to connect with the world as well as the growing spread of information have an impact on my global awareness.

However, my local culture still has a large influence on my life. Both of my parents have very strong local identities, which naturally influence my identity and values. In global contexts, I see how my behavior reflects my local culture by upholding cultural beliefs that I was taught were traditionally adequate. Due to this combination of the impact of both global culture as well as local culture on my identity, I would recognize my position as a spot between the two.

Generally speaking, I have barely lived in my home country and ever since I was a child I’ve been living in Poland however I went to an international school and never got very invested into the Polish culture. In addition my family is also somewhat westernized so a lot of the local culture has diminished. Most of the friends I’ve made have been from different countries and even the internet has defined a lot of how I think and act.
