I think my memorable activity I did this year was a recent activity which was writing the story with my group with uroog and rida because it was fun writing the story and was enjoyable when the teaher shared our story to the class. An advice I would give to students who will be joining in this subject next year is to always try your best because sometimes so some students english sinst their favorite subject but once you start learning with sister Dian english will beocme an easier path for you and you will start enjoying it. I think sister Dian can better support support students next year by their isint really anything becuase sister Dian is always on top of everything MashaAllah but maybe interact if those students who have more difficulties just incase becuase some students are scared or nervous to ask for anything. Like a progress update one on one.

I learned to always reflect on how I reacted in certain situations and to always react better in those situations than I did before. I also learned that the people I hold close to me matter a lot, and we must be in tune mentally (aka, both have an Islamic mindset). This is random, but I really leveled up in my embroidery and cooking abilities this year, which made me happy, as when I get good at things I enjoy, I feel a deep sense of fulfillment.

I must say that the historical writing assignment was my favorite, as I have always wanted to write a historical piece but have never found the time. Thankfully, I was able to fulfill my wishes in class with my good friends Ayza and Rida, who I really enjoyed working with!! <33

(5) For advice I would give to students next year, I would say to be creative with your work and always add a personal touch, whether it's a presentation or a writing assignment! Sometimes school assignments can seem like a chore, but when you make them personal to you, they are enjoyable, and for me, I always looked forward to seeing Sr. Dians feedback!

It is fun and easygoing, and Teacher Dian makes sure we are always comfortable and prioritizes our own health over anything else. (Such as giving us extended time to do assignments) She makes the class enjoyable and applicable to our everyday life (such as when we analyzed Quranic parables, or when we analyzed College essays together). The class overall leaves a lasting impression on the student. Jazaaki Allahu Khairan Teacher Dian for this amazing year.

Mosarrat Medha

In terms of assignments that facilitated my learning the most, I found the collaborative group projects to be incredibly beneficial. Working with peers not only encouraged lively discussions but also provided diverse perspectives that enriched our analyses and interpretations. While important for reinforcing foundational skills, dedicating less time to grammar drills and allocating more time to engaging activities like discussions and creative writing could enhance overall learning experiences. I want to thank sister Dian for helping and supporting the students work. I would advise them to approach each reading assignment with an open mind and a willingness to delve beneath the surface. Don't hesitate to ask questions, seek clarification, and engage in discussions with peers and teachers—it's through active participation that the learning experiences emerge and join sister Dian' office or email her if you have any questions or concerns that you were confused about any assignments. Your my favorite Teacher of All :))

(1) What are the top 3 things you learned this year?

Whenever we read poems, it was great to see everyone's insight on how they perceived and interpreted them because, I think, it brought significance to what was being taught. I was able to see how creative my writing skills were and how I could expand them beyond that. During collaborative work, I saw how my classmates and I combined all our thoughts together and came up with creative work that made us proud.

(2) What was your most memorable activity from this year?

There were a lot of things we did this year that I enjoyed, but to be honest, as surprising as it may sound, I really enjoyed the historical fiction essay that we did. Being able to work collaboratively with my friends, putting so much creativity into it, and just honestly having fun with the assignment is a great memory for me.

(5) What advice would you give to students who’ll be in this subject next year?

I would tell them that you have a side to you that feels like a friend, and it's fun to make you laugh because it makes us laugh, so don't be afraid to reach out. Focus and do your work well, enjoy what you're learning, have fun, and have a good bond with everyone, because that's what allowed me to make great memories!

Note: Alhamdulillah, this year went by so fast, and we learned so many great things that, InshaAllah, I will carry with me forever and hopefully pass on to others! Sister I can't express the gratitude I feel for all your hard work and kindness this year. You truly made this year unforgettable, and I'll always treasure it close to my heart. May Allah SWT put Barakah in all that you do in your future, and may He grant you Jannatul Firdous for all your effort Ameen!

~ Saleha <3

Again, really enjoyable !!

3- Also learned that reading Julius Ceasar with accents is a lot of fun

(2)

The historical fiction, without a doubt. I genuinely enjoyed all the writing assignments we had and felt that I learned a lot from them.

(5)

Maybe to ask for feedback on writing?

I learned a lot of new things from Malik Badri's book on Islamic contemplation. I also started learning how to handle hyper kids because my front door neighbors kid is coming to our house often and is at that age where he asks me the most random out of pocket questions while running in circles around me. Additionally, I've been able to explore how this genocide can be connected to past and present literature. Alhamdulillah

I'm not sure if anyone remembers, but I thought the little bingo game we did after Ramadan was cutee! I also really enjoyed those times when my classmates and I could hop into breakout rooms to work on assignments together. Lastly, I also loved those moments when we had free class time to work on your assignments—I personally felt so grateful for that.

For me, using graphic organizers with short paragraph answers for each box makes work less stressful and more organized. Dividing tasks into charts or boxes simplifies things, making it easier for me to manage each part. This way, it's less overwhelming, and everything stays clear lalhamdulilah

My advice for future students would be not to be afraid to share your thoughts, whether it be through the microphone or the public Zoom chat. In this class, both the mic and the chatbox were ways for us to get to know each other better and expand our perspectives on topics. So, don't doubt yourself if you think your ideas are not good enough; they will always benefit at least one person!

You've done a great deal to support us, Alhamdulillah! From providing extensions during times when I needed them most, to revising parts of your lesson plan just to make it easier for us, your efforts have always been helpful. In high school, where students are often stressed about assignments and tests looming every new week, your class offers us a breath of relaxation! May Allah grant you Jannat al-Firdaus and reward your efforts, sister. Ameeeeen
