The article by Vinita Rocha deeply resonates with the fundamental importance of trust in shaping a child's emotional and social world. It offers a heartfelt reminder that children thrive when they feel secure, respected, and genuinely heard. Rocha’s emphasis on small, consistent actions—like active listening, keeping promises, and showing empathy—illustrates that building trust is not about grand gestures but about everyday interactions filled with authenticity and care.

Reading this article made me realize how much responsibility adults carry in creating environments where children feel safe enough to express themselves openly. Trust-building is a gradual process, requiring patience, honesty, and a genuine commitment to respecting children's feelings and experiences.

India’s Daughter is a stark reminder that the fight for gender equality goes beyond laws and punishments—it demands a transformation of societal attitudes and beliefs. The documentary not only honors Jyoti Singh’s spirit and aspirations but also exposes the urgent need to challenge deep-rooted patriarchy. It urges us to reflect critically on our own roles in shaping a safer, more just society for women everywhere. True change will come not just from reacting to tragedy, but from building a culture of respect, dignity, and empowerment for every daughter of the nation.

What makes childhood so special is the innocence and the genuine way of experiencing life without overthinking or fear of judgment. Reliving that phase would remind me how to find happiness in small things and embrace every moment fully. It would also allow me to reconnect with my truest self — the version of me that was full of wonder, dreams, and endless energy.

In many ways, revisiting that part of my life would not just be about nostalgia, but about reclaiming a mindset that could make the present even richer and more meaningful.

I learned that NPST is not just about teaching better but also about being honest, respectful, hardworking, and ready to keep learning throughout life. It highlights that teachers must work as a team with other teachers, students, and parents to create a good learning environment. Most importantly, NPST wants every child, whether living in a city or a village, to get a good education from a well-trained and caring teacher.

Reflecting on my own experience, I also faced this in school. Many times, I read chapters quickly just to finish homework or to answer questions in exams. I did not stop to think about the deeper meaning of the text or the feelings of the writer. Reading became a task, not a joy. Later, when I began to read slowly and think about the meaning, I started enjoying books more. I realized that true reading is not just saying the words but understanding, feeling, and connecting with them.

In many classrooms, language gaps create big problems when students try to read and reflect on a text. Language gaps happen when students do not fully understand the words, grammar, or expressions used in a reading. Because of this, they cannot grasp the real meaning behind the text. They may read the words correctly but fail to feel the emotions, ideas, or messages hidden in the writing.

I have also faced such problems. Sometimes, when I read a story or a poem in English, I understood the basic meaning but missed the deeper ideas because some words were new or too complex. This made it hard for me to reflect and think about the text deeply. Instead of enjoying the reading, I felt confused and frustrated.

These language gaps can also make students lose confidence and interest in reading. They may stop asking questions or sharing their thoughts because they fear making mistakes. As a result, true learning and reflection do not happen.

To fix this issue, teachers and students must work together. Teachers can explain difficult words, use simple language first, and encourage students to express what they understand in their own words. Students should be motivated to read more, use dictionaries, and never feel shy to ask questions. Step by step, this can help close the language gaps and make reading a more joyful and meaningful experience.

Luke Bakic emphasizes that reading is not merely a pastime but a powerful instrument that shapes our thinking, communication, and societal engagement. He articulates that reading enhances our vocabulary, improves our ability to persuade, and fosters better writing skills. Luke points out that in an age dominated by screens, many people, especially the youth, spend excessive time on digital devices, leading to decreased attention spans and reduced cognitive engagement. He warns that neglecting reading can result in a less active brain and diminished critical thinking abilities. To counter this, Luke encourages his audience to rediscover the joy of reading, suggesting that it can lead to becoming better communicators and more informed citizens.
