İnebolu, a coastal district on the Black Sea coast renowned for its historical and natural beauty, played a crucial role in the logistics of the front known as the "Independence Road" during the Turkish War of Independence. Situated in the valley of the Karaçomak Stream—a tributary of the Gökırmak—the city lies at an elevation of 775 meters above sea level.

Also known as the "City of Saints," Kastamonu is one of the oldest cities in Anatolia and boasts numerous historical monuments dating back to both ancient times and the Turco-Islamic era. Notable landmarks include Kastamonu Castle, the Atabey Mosque, the Tomb of Sheikh Şaban-ı Veli, the Tomb of Yanık Sultan, the Nasrullah Mosque, the clock tower, and many others.
