Summary:

This story takes place in Denmark while the Nazis are invading Denmark. They can see german planes dropping notes to make it seem like they're friendly. They don't know how to process this and are confused about school. They then end up heading to school. They arrive at school then their teacher starts crying and they don't know what to do.


Predictions:
I predict that when Lisa comes home her parents will be gone because of the Nazis. I also predict that they will start using nuclear weapons.

Summary:

When Lisa got home and went to bed, she couldn't sleep because all she was thinking about were German soldiers. She imagined she was in the sea with her father but it was too dark due to the tape around the windows so light cannot escape so they do not get bombed. She then heard her parents yelling about how their leader surrendered. They invited Erik's parents to a Seder diner from Copenhagen. 2 weeks later, they are under invasion and her Dad is frightened. She then got an idea to use medicine to hurt them. The anger then disappeared from their faces. They then started looking for medicine to hurt the german soldiers because Lisa’s dad is a Doctor. 

Predictions: 
I think that the Germans will go door to door checking every house for people to take as hostages. I also think that they will find the medicine to kill or hurt the Germans with.

The author is suggesting that war is pointless and many die for no reason. It is also suggesting that a lot of people who have gone to war kill many people that they don’t have anything against. Also that people are never the same after and they are traumatized due to seeing a lot of glory. In conclusion, war shouldn’t be a thing and many kids, women, men and animals die from a pointless war.

Please can I have some advice. My name is Lisa and I'm 14 years old, I have a brother, a mother and a father. We are currently getting invaded by Germany and they don't like Jewish people. Unfortunately for us, we are Jewish. I'm not saying I'm not proud of being Jewish but It sucks because the Germans will send us away for being Jewish. I am trying to fight them off by joining the resistance because I can’t just sit here doing nothing. If we are caught doing something against them, we are sent to a concentration camp. I hate the feeling of being in control from a different person, it's the worst feeling ever. My dad is a doctor at a hospital and is forced to treat the German soldiers. 


Part 2

 I recently told him that he should treat the Germans with things that will make them sick. I realized that it's putting his and our lives at risk if he gets caught, but if he doesn’t, it will help us to fight them off. The consequence of getting caught is going to a concentration camp and we would die there. Recently, a German shot everyone in an operating room after my dad was done delivering a baby and is now scarred from watching them get shot. I won’t just let them do these things, that's why I joined the resistance.



Part 3

Anyways, I don’t know what to do. I am really stumped. Can I please have some advice on what to do? Please respond as fast as you can because we don’t know what's going to happen next.

that everyone is scared.

The context is they need to be better than the Germans and its significant because it explains
that they need to be better to stay alive.

does it matter that we are Jewish? I don’t feel any different than anyone else, and I’m
not treated differently. Now will I have to be only a Jew? Is being a Jew all that’s

The context is people regret being Jewish because the Germans will kill you if you are and its
significant because it shows how cruel the Germans are.
