all this questions are very important but I chose the most important which according to me constitute the base
1. Teacher to student :what do you think is happening?’ ‘why do you think this might be?’ rather than ‘what is the reason?’ or ‘why is this happening?’

2. teacher :did you gave students time to think about how to express their ideas so that others could understand them; perhaps by giving a short time for discussion in pairs or small groups, or you repeated what they said and asked ‘Is this what you mean?’

3. Did you give Ps positive feedback on how to review or take their ideas further?

4. Did you encourage Ps to ask questions? often the teacher asks questions and waits very briefly for an answer if he does not get it, he gives the answer himself

5. ‘What would you like to know about…?’ Or provided a ‘question box’ or board where Ps could post their questions.- among these questions is a wealth of examples to be used in practice, or what to do to stimulate students to act, to ask questions as a small curious child does, which he learns by experiencing and asking questions

a) Did you make predictions based on your ideas? The intention to show that it was not just a guess by Ps is , for me, very important. Since pre-concepts were expressed and thus are more susceptible for conceptual changes if necessary.

b) Did the activity encourage you to ask questions? The teachers task to encourage Ps asking questions is crucial in order to activate Ps participation during the lesson. For me, that activation is the result of questions related to everyday life and questions related concerns of Ps specific peer group.

These two ias particularly imourtant to me and my class:

1- Did you give Ps positive feedback on how to review or take their ideas further? - Because, they need to be encouraged to go further, or sometimes need to hear that they are on the right way. Sometimes, they think they are at the top and there is nothing to do anymore, so they need to be helped to open new doors in their mind .

2- Did you encourage Ps to reflect on what they found and how they found it? - Because reflecting ideas is a way to organize learning in mind. While reflecting, they will also realise their mistakes. In addition their communication skills, one of the most important skills of 21st century, will be developed.

I think "Did you work on a question which you identified as important?" is a very important question. I think students often don't know why they need to learn certain topics. By having them identify questions that are important to them, they find out that there is a need to know more science content as they begin and get into the process of trying to investigate and answer those questions. Another question that I think is important is "Did you take part in planning the investigation?" A lot of times when students in my area get the opportunity to do lab activities, they are what I would call canned labs where all of the specific directions are given to them. I think this deprives them of the opportunity to actually lean how to design an experiment.

Bea, Italy: I think that the question: "Did you make some record of what you did and found?" is a basic point driving investigation.Pupils do generally find it very difficult to formalize their observations, statements, projects and findings in a suitable record. When recording an experiment or an experience you are fostered to reflect and to analyze logically a situation in order to distinguish between facts and interpretation, questions and approaches. I think this is a main point when conducting a scientific inquiry.

Q1.Did you include in your record a clear statement of the inquiry question or problem?
I think this question is important so that students understand from the start of the experiment what they are testing. It´s important for students to identify a problem and decide how they will try to solve it. It also acts as a ´check´ during and at the end of the experiment to keep students on track and avoid students going in the wrong direction with the experiement. It provides guidance and keeps students focused.

Q2.Were you asked to make predictions?
I think this question provides verbal feedback for a teacher to assess during the practical whether students understand what they are investigating and whether they can draw some conclusions before they obtain the results. It also forces the students to think at a deeper level about what they are investigating, to question their procedure to obtain their results and how they are going to record the results. It encourages students to make connections and reach a final conlusion from their prior knowledge and their practical work and to identify errors if the results obtained are not what they expected. It provides the base for redesign of the experiment if necessary.

* Did you carry out an investigation on your own? This part of investigation is really important, because it let us better manage time. It helps check if we need something else to explain, to add for our investigation. Sometimes it helps me to find different solution, to built longer experiment.
* Did you record observations and data collected in a systematic way? This is important part, because students sometimes want to do notes quickly, without precision and accurate - I must remind them, that this part is really important. They should think how to collect data to be able to present them on diagrams, tables etc. For science everything must be measurable.
