Point 1: Malaysian passport is already strong.

-Malaysians can travel to over 180 countries visa-free or visa-on-arrival.

Point 2: Allowing dual citizenship won’t stop brain drain

-Talented Malaysians leave because of wages, opportunities, and politics, not because of passport issues.

Solutions for brain drain: fix domestic issues, not hand out second passports.

-Improve economy, job opportunities, and fight corruption.

-Allowing dual citizenship risks divided loyalties, legal complications, and weakens national identity. It doesn’t move us forward, it opens the door to exploitation and undermines our sovereignty.

-This law isn’t outdated. It’s a necessary safeguard and it must remain.

• Holding a dual citizenship as a Malaysian is strictly prohibited under article 24 of Federal Constitution

• In this context, Malaysian citizen are obligated to obey our most supreme law, which is the Federal Constitution.

• We should perform our duty and shows loyalty to our own country.

  
  

Point 2 : Taxation

• Holding a dual citizenship occurs you to pay taxes in both countries.

• Managing and having to pay them brings heavy burden to the citizen.

Assalamualaikum and hello miss Amirah,

Throughout this semester, we learn how important it is to have the communication skills as it brings benefits to us wherever we go. It sparks confidence in us to express ourselves in the most appropriate way. We never thought that participating in debate activity is actually fun and challenging at the same time. However, we also need to understand that every word that we choose to speak needs to be choosen wisely and supported by facts as it can lead to different understandings.

All in all, everything that we learn in the class will definitely drive us further in the future. Having you as a kind hearted lecturer is a blessing to us. Thank you for making everything easy to overcome with your guidance.
