Studies has been done that shows that by the media showing graphic coverage of terrorist groups killing people they are doing what the terrorist groups wants them to do and so are making the people scared of the group. If the media did not show any coverage of the crimes that theses terrorist groups has done on the internet and the media then people will not be afraid of the terrorist group as they would not know of the group. As proof that the media coverage of terrorism is leading to more violence the number of death from previous terrorist attacks in the past 15 years has gone up from 3,387 to 15,396 which is quite a significant increase. There is more chance of getting killed by dogs which is 18 per year, killed by hot water which is 100 per year and death by uses of phones while driving which is 2,920 per year.
