A few reasons are loss of habitat, climate change, reduction in prey populations. However, the main reason is poachers (illegal hunting). Loss of habitats is caused by the transformation of forests into arable land, commercial logging, and human settlements. When humans use the land, they are destroying the tiger's home. Also because I think it is so important that people understand and learn about the importance of these animals. When I was doing my research and discovered how little of the South China population there was, it completely shocked and upset me. I may not have a big impact, but I want people to realize that these animals shouldn't be killed because you want money or cool clothes.
