It caters to elementary, middle and high school levels. I think it is cool because it has many of the popular books available. The site is very simple for students to research information on their own. It's cool because it displays the information in cool little PPT slices and is in terms the kids understand.

I found several items to select under each topic.  It is cool because there is a video to watch that goes along with the book you choose.  I picked this site because it offers a variety of sources on each topic.

It is a struggle to get and keep students interested in a history that happened so long ago. When you tie it to current events, it helps to spark their interest. I like it because you can search by grade level and reading skill. I love that I can search for books and listen to them as I have time (ie: driving in the car).  I think this a great tool for our students because it gives them the power of options while also being restricted to a certain topic.  It also allows them to listen to the book which is a big help for those who struggle to read.

This resource grabbed my attention because it was something new and had a colorful icon. It is an interactive eBook collection. It has audio and text highlight functions as students hear the story read aloud, or read themselves. All are iPad compatible.
The nonfiction books caught my attention because they are not your typical dry photo books. They are written with colorful illustrations and some are in comic book form - a form that our students can relate to and find fun in learning. There's also the option to select books in Spanish. This is a great resource for libraries that are limited.
