What Signifies Home

I am at home when I hear the water hit land. The view of the horizon far in the distance where sky touches water, that is when I know that I am close to home.

Peter Pan by JB Barnett, is a song I hold dear to my heart and believe through my soul. It was dedicated to me by my father, and has been a song I listen to in times of sorrow and accomplishment. It tells you repeatedly to "follow your heart wherever you go" and that phrase I have tattooed on my body to represent the woman my parents have always supported me to be.

Hope To Learn

I hope to learn the facts behind why women are sexualized more then men, and how I can help speak out when women are pushed beneath the standards there are for men. I want to learn how to bring other women up around me as I succeed in my dream to become a Doctor of Dentistry, and fight battles of being a woman in healthcare.

My Fears

I want to share my fears in hope to make someone else feel like they are not alone in their battle. I am a people pleaser, and I fear one day that constant urge to please someone will make me push my own goals aside. I am afraid of failure and not being enough. I deal with being self conscious. But these fears are not what define me, they build my strengths and help to prepare me for battles along my journey.
