Victor takes over his friend's paper route. Victor gave his knife to Ara T, who wouldn't give it back. Victor started connecting to the people on the paper route. Victor left a ladder out and Ara T steals stuff from his room. Mam gets into a fight with Ara T and gets all of Victor's stuff back except his knife, she gets beat up. He learns how important people are to him. He visualizes them when he stressed about having to talk in class.

My opinion on the book paperboy is that the book was awful. There was no connection with the characters and me, I thought they were basically lumps of wood. The plot developed super slowly and was a bit of a mess. Just when the book got good it was over. If i had to give this book a rating it would two of of 10 stars.
