For the Thanksgiving project, I decided to interview my elderly boss, Edmund (Ed) Whipple. He is 67 years old and served in Iraq and has been a father esque figure in my life.

Who has been the most important person in your life? Can you tell me about him or her?

He responded with his wife, Stacey. She is his third marriage and has been his main supporter through life. The opened my place of work together.

What are the most important lessons you’ve learned in life?

He said that enjoying life for what it truly is and never taking life for granted. Because life is short and others could have it worse.

Who were your parents?

He stated that his parents were Bob and Bertha Whipple. That they were good parents and raised respectful young men. They have been main supporters for him and his siblings. His father has since passed but his mother is still alive.

Do you have any siblings? What were they like growing up?

He said he has two brothers and that they were buttholes growing up. They used to be really close and would stand up for one another.

What kind of student were you?

He said he was an average student. pretty laid back, was a huge sports guy, and knew almost everyone. He said he wasn't stellar and feels that he should have maybe tried harder in school.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

He stated that there are a lot of good leaders and toxic leaders. he learned that from the military. with the business world he said he learns as he goes and tries his best to look after the coworkers and such.
