Our work together during the final day prompted many discussions about how to raise our effectiveness when co-teaching to benefit our students.

Some things we wanted to share and implement:

Understanding Co-Teaching Components article/groups read activity and checklist

Create a version of the “Getting to know why your co-teacher does what they do” for our school.

Use the information shared to help organize tasks/responbilities in co-teaching pairs and in all collaborations among teachers (teams, etc)

Making sure that all teachers have equal access to digital products, materials, plans, (which helps encourage collaboration even when communication cannot necessarily be face to face.)

Continuing to have dedicated spaces and protocols for teachers to openly share the kind of heart to heart information that were in the “10 Questions to get to know why your co-teacher does what s/he they does” to keep building the relationships within teams beyond that initial meeting at the beginning of the year.
