         <description><![CDATA[<p>China is very well known for its Great Wall - and it’s also known for its Disney character, Mulan. Its a huge tourist attraction site. But did you know that there is even more amazing aspects to China’s culture? There were many religions including Buddhism, and there were different philosophy systems like Confucianism and Taoism. There were also some great leaders, like Shi Huangdi. Chinese art was mainly based on religion, and they were well known for their figure painting. There were lots of cool myths in China that were told for long periods of time. As you can see China is one of the most amazing classical civilization. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Q: How did religion control or influence their lives?</p><p>A: <span>If you were a part of the Buddhist or the Taoist community you could not do certain things that did not apply to their religious rules. In Buddhism people believed that giving up material possessions brought happiness. In Taoism it was very important for them to be in touch with nature which changed lifestyle. People would alter their lives to please their ancestors and would make them offerings. </span></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Q: What innovations had the largest impact on the classical societies and what were the impacts? </p><p>A: <span>In China, many agricultural innovations were made, and they did not reach other civilizations for decades. This  improved production. They also invented paper which allowed people to keeps records that would be used millions of years later. After the conquest of the nomads by Emperor Wudi, the Silk Road was created and could allow for things like grapes, jewels, gold, silver and silk to be traded.</span></p>]]></description>
