         <description><![CDATA[<div>Baja California has a desert and semi-arid climate with highly variable temperatures. Summers are long, hot and dry, while winters are short, mild and very pleasant. Temperatures can range between 20 and 40 degrees Celsius in summer and between 10 and 20 degrees in winter. In coastal areas, it is generally cooler in summer and temperatures are milder throughout the year. Rainfall is very scarce in this region, generally only recorded in winter and in some areas of the mountains.</div>]]></description>
