These days, with all the new streaming services, you can easily watch whatever series you would like on your devices at home! I do too but occasionally, I like to go to the cinemas with some of my friends or family and watch a screening together. Watching a film together is a lot more fun and meaningful than watching it alone at home. You would get to bond over certain scenes in real time with those around you and you even get to hear some live reactions from the other people in the cinema! i just think it makes the experience more joyous! I still watch most series' at home but I love going out once every year to the cinemas just to experience the authentic feeling again!

Coming-of-age Films

Coming-of-age films are made with the intent of leaving the movie with a whole new perspective. In this case, the Japanese animated film ‘A Silent Voice’, which, despite seeming like a love story on the surface, goes into realistic issues of battling with the past and the gradual process of moving forward. The main protagonist goes through a journey towards self-acceptance and love, which is portrayed throughout the whole duration of the movie. I believe this film is absolutely beautiful and I believe anyone would enjoy it, no matter what you’re into.

Comedy/Action Films

Comedy action films are not only extremely entertaining but was one of the most common genres of movies I grew up with. My dad was a big Jackie Chan fan so growing up I saw so many of movies to the point where I thought he was a relative of mine for a long time. The whole Rush Hour franchise has got to be my favourite though.

As someone who grew up in an environment where different movies and films were constantly a part of our lives, it's only natural that we have a huge collection of VHS tapes and DVDs at home! Most of these belong to my parents as it's something they bond over. I personally only own two physical copies, both anime animations, but I would love to collect more in the near future.

Drama Films

Drama films always have you sitting on the edge of your seat so invested in the storyline. I don't necessarily watch too much of this genre but when I do, I get so caught up in it that I would be thinking about the storyline for days.
