Il avait raison puisque les mineurs l'ont constaté. 
Cependant on constate que la température n'augmente pas de façon constante avec les profondeurs. L'augmentation de la température avec la profondeur est appéle le gradient. Ce gradient est fort dans la croute et faible dans le manteau.
Pb : comment expliquer les différences de gradients géothermique à l’intérieur de la Terre ?
