         <description><![CDATA[<div>This specific technology uses haptic remote control of laparoscopic tools which allows the surgeon to feel the anatomy they are working on. It also employs 3D visualization using a 3D capable monitor and an eye tracking camera. Robotic arm provides stabilization eliminating errors from tremors, etc.<br>5. Open concept set up that allows concurrent use of preexisting technologies<br>6. The camera is controlled via eye-tracking which may hinder an emergent situation.<br>4. The robotic arm may not move the way the physician needs to it for a specific patient, necessitating an invasive procedure.<br>5. Does not account for differences among patients. For example: a sensor will sound when a pressure point is reached, but the physician may know that this particular patient can tolerate a higher pressure.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Opinion: I believe this is an excellent technology that surgeons should consider incorporating into their practices. It will can decrease recovery time, post operative pain medication use, and hospital admissions. It is no more expensive than currently existing robotic operating systems. <br>Rationale: Ultimately, it makes the perioperative experience easier on patients. Increasing laparoscopic technologies will enhance patient outcomes while not compromising the surgery itself. Decreasing inpatient admissions will decrease costs for the patient as well as mental anguish. The United States is in the middle of an opiod crisis, so utilizing any technology than can decrease narcotic prescriptions need to be taken into consideration. This technology will benefit the patient physically, mentally, and socially and should be considered. <br><br></div>]]></description>
