There are many gullible people in the world who will believe anything that is told to them even if its a decade old scam that still works to this day. The "Nigerian prince" scam is an email scam that had been taking gullible peoples money for years. Last year alone this scam was used to take over $700,000. The way the scam works is you recive an email form someone overseas who claim to be royalty. The fraudsters lure you in by offering a share of a huge incestmnt opporunity or a fortune they cant get out of the country without your help. Then they ask you either for your bank account number so they can transfer the money to you for safekeeping, or for a small advance payment to help cover the expense of transferring the money. As soon as they get your bank info they drain your entire account leaving you high and dry.

In today's society there is a lot of fake news that goes around or stories that dont tell the entire situation.
