Being prepared for any type of emergency is all too important now.  We do not need to only have earthquake or fire drills anymore.  We now have to include in our school drills lock down drills, shelter in place, and several others.  Schools have to be prepared for any emergency.  Parents expect that the school staff is fully prepared.

Rumors can spread easily through social media and text messaging. Communication is a vital part of preparedness. Rumors need to be committed immediately.  

Over ten million dollars has been allocated to implement new changes with emergency preparedness. Some of those changes include School Resource Officers, new plans and drills, and more mental health services.
