I'm particularly fond of Huong Pagoda Festival. To be more specific, Huong Pagoda Festival is a Buddhist Festival which is held annually at Huong Pagoda and lasts three months, from the 6^th day of Lunar New Year to the 6^th day of the third lunar month in the year. It commemorates a princess named Dieu Thien who incarnated Avalokitasvara and attained enlightenment there. As the princess was born on the 19th day of the second lunar month, that date is now observed by all Vietnamese Buddhists as a saint day. The three main activities are taking part in the incense offering ceremony, making wishes when worshipping Buddha at the pagoda and holding not only cultural activities but also sporting contests. It has completely captivated me due to the fact that Huong Pagoda is recognized as a great tourist destination as well as breathtaking scenery. At there, people of different ages can join any activities they are interested in. I wish I could participate in Huong Pagoda Festival one day.

Hung King Temple Festival is one of my favorite festivals in Viet Nam. It is held in Phu Tho province, from 8th to 11th of the third lunar month each year.Everyone knows one of the first emperors and founders of the Nation - Hung King. It is impressive because of the procession which is on top of the mountain, from the food of Nghia Linh mountain to the High Temple, attend a ceremony of offering incense and speciality to our Hung King. There are also some interesting activities such as play bamboo swing, lion dances and wrestling. It makes me love this festival more!

Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked, offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

Tet, a traditional Vietnamese event, is my favorite. Every year in February, it is commemorated. We clean and decorate the house with peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, and couplets during this festival. We go shopping and prepare a variety of dishes, like fried spring rolls, Banh Chung, and chicken sticky rice, to honor and appreciate our ancestors and greet guests. On New Year's Eve, we all watch TV together, eat New Year's Eve meals, and watch fireworks. Tet, in my opinion, has a very particular meaning since it is a time for everyone to get together joyfully, forget about the problems of the previous year, and welcome the new year with pleasant things.
