Many of us fail to understand that time is actually controllable. We have 24 hours a day. some of us waste their time, while some plan and prepare every minutes and become more productive , thinking about what are they going to do next. You should sit down and plan out your day, in the morning, in the evening, in your recess, to plan which subject will you study, which topic are you going to revise. therefore, you won’t waste time to multitask and think about what are you going to study.

Here's how you can make a study plan:

Our brains work with the 'Ebbinghaus forgetting curve' which hypothesizes the decline of memory retention in time. It shows how information is lost over time when there is no attempt to retain it. You have learned something today and 30 minutes later you may only remember 50% of it, then the day after you may only remember 20% of it. You should recap the things you have learned after school, then study it on the third day and the fifth day, so you can have a long-term memory and get a better result.

Humans are easily affected by the environment, so it is essential for us to work in our own productive space, which varies from people. Some like to study in the library, some like to study in their room, different people have their unique comfortable working space, to get their best performances. If your study area is surrounded by distractions, such as phone, video games and Netflix, we won’t be able to resist the temptations to text, play games and watch Netflix. One single distraction can already waste us 5 to 10 minutes, if there’re distractions next to your study area, you won’t be able to focus and finish your work.

Here are some examples of productive spaces:

4. learning by teaching

We are all taught by teachers that we should sit and re-reading our notes repeatedly, but the ‘learning by teaching’ method is actually helping us to understand the theories more. Understanding the concept taught by teachers in class, we can simplify the content and teach the others. During the process of teaching the others, you get to know more about the thing you’ve learned and solve some doubts when listening to teachers in class, it also helps to deepen your memory about the concept. After the teaching, you should reflect your teaching method and ask if the person fully understand the concept, so you can check is there any part that you are not very familiar with and study again.
