         <description><![CDATA[<div>| <strong>Overview: </strong><br>The first week of class is dedicated to learning about network technologies, how they function and where they are vulnerable.  Particular emphasis is placed on learning about technologies that are vulnerable to hacking.  Finally, our discussion will be dedicated to understanding why learning about these technologies creates a firm foundation for the legal analysis of cybersecurity issues. <br><strong>Program Learning Outcome</strong></div><ul><li>3.1a Students will identify ethical issues raised by various factual scenarios and the appropriate response for law-related professionals.</li></ul><div><strong>Course Learning Outcomes </strong></div><ul><li>CLO4: Identify problems and propose solutions to system security and policy deficiencies that comply with appropriate federal and state laws and regulations.</li><li>CLO5: Evaluate cybersecurity issues from both the perspectives of the private and public sectors. </li><li>CLO6: Identify and analyze the responsibilities and ethical considerations of stakeholders and legal counsel in matters involving cybersecurity and data breach issues.  </li></ul><div><strong>Module Learning Outcomes </strong></div><ul><li>MLO1a: Describe various network technologies that impact cybersecurity.  </li><li>MLO1b: Explain how various network technologies are interconnected. </li><li>MLO1c: Demonstrate knowledge of network traffic through written explanation or diagram of the path of data through a specific protocol. </li><li>MLO1d: Compare the security risks inherent in various network technology types. </li><li>MLO1e: Identify the network locations where breach may occur given a network data flow path. </li></ul>]]></description>
