It is important for us as leaders and nurses to recognize there is more than one way to tackle challenges as nurses, and differences in the way we care for our patients as every patient has unique needs. Ensuring a well rounded, diverse, and inclusive team allows for the greatest collaboration. Being open to new ways of thinking and new evidence based practice, innovative ideas, and challenging how things have always been done, brings opportunity for improvement and positive change.
